Trusted News Analysis

Editorial policy

Trusted News Analysis aims to explain how news claims are made and presented with clarity, care and independence. We distinguish what a source says from what can reasonably be concluded, and we correct material errors openly.

Accuracy and context

We check the wording and context of claims before presenting them, and make clear when an explanation is limited or a story remains unsettled. We do not treat a single source as proof of every part of a claim. When context is needed to avoid a misleading impression, we include it.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for the reader's understanding, not to serve a partner's interests. We do not promise favourable coverage in exchange for support, access or a placement. Opinions and interpretations are presented as such rather than disguised as established facts.

Corrections

If a published item contains a significant error, we review the concern and correct it when warranted. We aim to make substantive changes clear in the item so readers can understand what changed. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page.

Partnerships and illustrations

Paid or partner material is clearly identified as such and kept distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are labelled so readers are not left to mistake them for documentary images.

Our approach

Curiosity before certainty

A careful read is not a hunt for a perfect source. It is a way to see what a story supports, what it leaves out and where the edges of our knowledge sit.
